It's my place to write things down for you

My Suzuki GSX250F Across Motorcycle

You may have seen on previous stories, I got myself a bike and it’s been great. I can’t begin to tell you of the advantages for trips into work, the time and money saving and the simple enjoyment of being out on a nice bike.

For my first bike I found one at a dealer who had second hand ones there. It’s 11 years old now, but this old Suzuki has really kept up appearances and still looks as up-to-date as most of the new ones.

A neat trick with this was the way the put the fuel tank under the seat and made the normal spot for petrol as a boot, just big enough to take a helmet. So you can lock up your gloves and brain-bucket and other small items away from the rain while it’s parked.

Having got the bike, and being an internet junkie, a started looking for info, found a few sites, some of which where quite out of date and many of them referring to service manuals, the files of which no longer existed. Worse still were other trawling sites and link generators that pretended to have these books for sale, at a small fee, which I avoided like the plague, hmm, I am an internet junkie.

But I have them, and I am willing to share the spoils of my research for free;

And some other sites that I discovered and may help you too;

So, I would be interested to hear from others who have this motorcycle, or have had one in the past. I have met one already when i got mine serviced, and seen others around.
So, particularly those from Melbourne or across riders in general, say hi.

      If your in Melbourne I spotted another ’97 250F just like mine (same colour) with about 55k on the clock. http://www.spotonmotorcycles.com.au/ had it on the street and said it would be tagged for about $4,000. Compared to mine it seemed good (parked on the street).
      Good to see these ol rice-rockets are still going strong, welcome to the club.

    Thanks for all the info!

    Thanks for the info. It seems Petes link no longer works though which is a shame. I will be picking up my in pieces Across this weekend.

    Thanks heaps for the links! I live in Sydney and have picked up a ’91 import for cheap. It needs a bit of work, but that service manual should do the trick
